In the last 2 or 3 weeks we have all been bombarded with \u201cHoliday Wishes\u201d, \u201cHappy New Year Wishes\u201d or \u2018just\u2019 \u201cBest Wishes\u201d.<\/p>\n

People who love us or just know us can \u2018wish\u2019\u2026 but what about US?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wishing is a poor strategy to make a dream come true.\u00a0The secret is all in the DOING, in taking ACTION.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To take action we first need to assess where we are, reflect on where we want to be and come up\u00a0with a step by step plan to get there.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you wish upon a star\u201d reminds us of the great Walt Disney.<\/p>\n

\"WaltDisneyWallpaper\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Those words come out of a song, and taken out of context might take us to a different interpretation\u00a0of what he meant \u2013 which in his own words was \u201cAll dreams can come true – if we have the courage\u00a0to pursue them\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dreams can come true, but they are a materialized through awareness, commitment, persistence,\u00a0focus and work.<\/strong>
\nThere are no overnight successes \u2013 behind each success there are years of preparation, study,\u00a0practice and course correction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every minute is a choice<\/strong> \u2013 how we react to everything that happens in our lives (even when we\u00a0choose NOT to react), how we plan to be in control \u2013 \u2018action mode\u2019 instead of \u2018reaction mode\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So for 2013, here are MY CHOICES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I choose to progress<\/strong> – to be each day a better person than the day before; to focus on leaving\u00a0everything I touch better than when I found it. I choose to learn from the masters, books,\u00a0experiences, the homeless in the street and the carefree child that smiles at me and giggles when I\u00a0smile back (well, I usually pull a funny face too).<\/p>\n

I choose to be creative<\/strong> – to refuse any labels, to be genuine, to be myself and to nurture the child in\u00a0me, letting no one tell me what I \u2018should\u2019 do whilst always accepting and reflecting on heart given\u00a0feedback.<\/p>\n

I choose to be happy<\/strong> – to see the positive side of each situation and make the most of it; to smell the\u00a0roses, be fascinated by fellow humans (instead of judging them), and marvel at each sunset as if I\u00a0was seeing it for the first time.<\/p>\n
