If I believe in something, I sell it, and I sell it hard.&#8221;\u00a0<strong>Est\u00e9e Lauder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some people when asked the question <strong>\u2018Are you in the Sales Business?\u2019<\/strong> will deny vehemently being in the sales\u00a0business.<br \/>\nThe reason is they live in a not so distant past where \u2018selling\u2019 was associated with the typical second hand car\u00a0dealer salesman \u2013 pressuring, manipulating and doing whatever it took to \u2018close\u2019 a sale.<\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, no matter what the business is, from a home based business to a big corporation, from selling cars\u00a0to the consultancy <strong>everyone is in sales<\/strong> because they are part of the \u2018experience\u2019 the customer has when dealing\u00a0with the entity that has the product or service.<\/p>\n<p>This perspective can be the <strong>key to your success<\/strong> &#8211; the understanding that your customer experience begins with\u00a0the materials you buy, the systems you have implemented, the production process, the technology you use,\u00a0the marketing, the customer service and yes, of course the sales force who educate your customer in the \u2018art of\u00a0buying\u2019 .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selling is a matching process between the needs of the prospective buyer and what you have to offer.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is why nowadays it is more important that a salesperson can listen than that he or she can talk \u2013 no point\u00a0pushing a product or service if the matching is not right or cannot be adjusted to make it right!<\/p>\n<p>Knowing how to get to a<strong> win-win situation<\/strong> and how to build long-term customer relationships is incredibly\u00a0important regardless of the industry you are in.<\/p>\n<p>Self-discipline, persistence, self-confidence and good communication skills are all invaluable for a salesperson\u00a0but <strong>the passion for the product or service and the genuine desire to serve the client<\/strong> is what will allow him or her\u00a0to point the potential buyer in another direction if the fit is not right.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.success-academy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/ravingfans.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-826\" alt=\"ravingfans\" src=\"http:\/\/www.success-academy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/ravingfans-300x201.png\" width=\"210\" height=\"141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.success-academy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/ravingfans-300x201.png 300w, https:\/\/www.success-academy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/ravingfans.png 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The upside is that when the sale is closed, <strong>the client will be happy<\/strong> and may become a raving fan \u2013 the most\u00a0valuable marketing asset any business can have.<\/p>\n<p>In summary, a business that sells a quality product or service with a fair price, supportive sales force, expedient\u00a0delivery and efficient customer service can satisfy the clients, but only a business where<strong> everyone strives to\u00a0exceed the client\u2019s expectations, who anticipates their needs and wishes, who cares and interacts with them will\u00a0have loyal customers and raving fans.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;I have never worked a day in my life without selling.
